Michael H. Wenos CPCU, President

Michael, having served in the insurance industry since 1989, joined Madison Mutual Insurance in 2001 as Manager of the Claims Department. He was promoted to Corporate Vice President in 2005. In 2008 he became President and was elected to the Madison Mutual Insurance Board of Directors in January of 2009

A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Michael holds a B.S. in Business, Finance and has received the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He is a Board Member of the Collinsville Metropolitan Exposition and Building Authority and is active in several civic and charitable organizations.

Ann Frank, Corporate Vice-President and Treasurer

Ann joined Madison Mutual in 1998 as the Corporate Controller. Prior to her tenure at Madison Mutual, Ann was employed by Basler Electric Company in Highland, IL as the Budget Analyst and Accounting Manager and by Deloitte, Haskins Sells as a Staff Auditor. Ann graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a B.S. in Accountancy and a Master in Business Administration.

Gary Robinson, Vice President of Agency Development

Gary Robinson joined Madison Mutual in 1977 as a claims adjuster. In 1984, he was selected to develop the Marketing Department and grew the agency force from 30 agencies to its present 154 agencies. Prior to joining Madison Mutual, Gary was employed with Equifax Corporation for several years. He’s a US Navy veteran and attended Anderson University, Anderson, Indiana and later Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois.

Rich Korte, Director of Claims

Rich joined Madison Mutual in August of 1988 as a Casualty Claims Representative. In October 2001 he was promoted to the position of Litigation Supervisor and in June of 2007 assumed the additional duties of Casualty Claims Supervisor. In May of 2008 he was promoted to the position of Director of Claims. Prior to joining Madison Mutual he was with Nationwide Insurance and Wausau Insurance. Rich has more than 40 years of experience in insurance claims.

Ken Somogyi, Director of Information Technology

Ken joined Madison Mutual in October of 2009. Prior to Madison Mutual, Ken directed technology for Build a Bear Workshop, Delta Dental of Missouri and consulted for several industry leaders in St Louis. Ken holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a MBA from Washington University Olin School of Business.

Ed Sprehe CPCU, Director of Underwriting

Ed joined Madison Mutual in October of 2000. With over 33 years in the industry, Ed had previously worked in underwriting and management for two nationally known companies. Ed has a Masters Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and received the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1998.
