Madison Mutual Insurance Company (MMIC) was founded in 1920 as the Madison County Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. From 1920 until 1982 we wrote Auto insurance exclusively in Madison County in Southern Illinois. In 1983 we expanded into Home, Farm and Personal Umbrella lines and began to expand throughout the rest of the state.
Madison Mutual distributes its products exclusively through Independent Agents. We currently have 154 agencies representing us with more than 400 licensed producers. Madison Mutual has historically enjoyed an AM Best rating of A (Excellent).
