Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Ability to follow and execute marketing plans to solicit new and existing business using the output from the agency management system
  • Provide accurate quotes to customers from all carriers and convert them into accurate and complete applications after obtaining agreement to purchase
  • Close sales in a timely manner while keeping sales goals in mind
  • Ability to confidently discuss underwriting issues with customers and pivot them to different carrier or alternative coverage options when necessary
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplish sales and policy in force goals by accepting ownership for effective administering of marketing and policy retention campaigns
  • Assist the marketing department with potential ideas for new campaigns to drive new sales and improve policy retention
  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments by assisting in the transformation of successful delivering of new business sales and retention targets for the agency into ideas/concepts/programs for all Madison Mutual agents as per the strategic plan
  • Provide on-site operational management of assigned agent location, including but not limited to, ensuring safety and security of all on-site employees, reporting any attendance or performance issues with on-site personnel to appropriate manager, reporting and taking appropriate actions due to any facility related issues at agent location
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of insurance agency experience preferred
  • Must hold current insurance producer’s license
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge
  • Must be sales and goal oriented
  • Must exhibit a professional appearance and attitude
  • Must be able to solicit and sell policies from multiple carriers in an accurate and efficient manner
